Who's Allowed to Do What
What is safe to try myself before you arrive?
Killing the water at an isolation valve or the meter tends to help and keeps damage from spreading. Anything involving gas, don't touch it. Give (02) 9138 6520 a ring and someone can walk you through the rest.
What does the Lifetime Labour Warranty cover?
Labour, across every job, no fine print attached. If it's not right, we come back. No questions. No cost. That's the whole thing.
Who can legally do gas work in NSW?
A licensed gas fitter, and nobody else, under NSW law. Whoever handles gas work on our jobs holds that licence. Smell something off? Head outside, ring from there, and hold off on switches or flames until it's dealt with.
Are you licensed and insured?
Both, without question. NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C, backed by public liability cover the entire time work's happening.

Speed, Hours and Booking
What happens after I call?
Tell us what's wrong, we'll get someone driving over, and the number gets settled face-to-face before a spanner touches anything.
Are you really open 24/7?
Yes, no fine print on that either. Phone whenever, and a licensed plumber will be the one answering, not voicemail.
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Water where it shouldn't be, the smell of gas, a cold shower that won't warm up, or a toilet refusing to work: these are the obvious ones. Trust your judgement. If it's causing damage or feels wrong, ring us.
Do you work weekends and public holidays?
Weekends included, public holidays included, no different treatment for either. A burst pipe has no interest in what day it is.

Properly Local to Hornsby
What does heavy rain do to Hornsby's plumbing?
The ridge Hornsby sits on drops away sharply into valleys on either side, so a downpour clears fast rather than sitting around. That speed is the problem: stormwater pipes on the steepest streets can be overwhelmed, and yards further down sometimes cop the overflow before it reaches the creek lines properly.
Why do Hornsby's older homes keep us busy?
Hornsby's older Federation streets were plumbed with earthenware clay drains that are now well past their design life and prone to cracking. Autumn leaf litter along the bushland streets brings extra root activity into the mix, and a lot of the long-held post-war housing also runs original hot water systems overdue for replacement.
How local are you to Hornsby, really?
Well enough to tell Hornsby Park apart from Lisgar Gardens on sight, and to know without checking which streets sit on the steep side of the ridge. Regular work here builds that, not research done the night before.
Which suburbs do you service?
Hornsby's home turf for us, and the run also covers Waitara, Asquith, Mount Colah, Normanhurst and Wahroonga. Ring (02) 9138 6520 if your street's somewhere in that stretch.
Money, Fixed Prices and the $0 Call Out Fee
Is the quote really free?
It is. Someone comes out, has a proper look, and states the cost before lifting a single tool.
Say no thanks, and there's nothing to pay for that visit.
Do nights, weekends or public holidays cost extra?
Not one cent. The price we quote is the price you pay, whether it's 3am or a Tuesday lunch break.
The clock doesn't change the number.
How can I pay?
Settle up once everything's wrapped up, through whichever normal method suits, for precisely the sum you agreed to beforehand.
There's no line-item that appears later.
How do your quotes work?
Someone comes out, looks the job over, and states one number before starting anything.
From there it's your call, and the price doesn't shift once you've said go ahead.
